This swatch book will help you to design your bespoke book. You can purchase a bespoke book from the bespoke books section of the shop, there is a form at the checkout for you to specify all of your design options. If you can’t see quite what you’re looking for, please contact me and I’ll see if we can make the perfect book for you.

Linen thread is used for sewing books - all of my books have exposed stitching so the colour of the thread is very important.

*Buckram - coarser cloth with a slightly water resistant finish.

**Rayon cloth with a slightly coarser more tactile surface.

All other colours are a very fine, smooth rayon cloth. This produces the best results with foiling, especially with foil blocks (e.g. the ‘wedding’ and ‘guests’ blocks).

Marbled paper

Marbled paper looks brilliant on book covers or on the inside of book covers. These papers are hand marbled in India onto handmade Indian cotton paper and every sheet is unique. I can also create my own marbled designs if you have specific colours in mind for your project, however I am only able to do a few marbling sessions per year.
