Bespoke Cloth Bound Guest Book
A bespoke hand bound coptic stitch guest book made in the design and colours of your choice with a tactile cloth cover and foiled “guests” in calligraphy script, with the option to have names and dates added to the cover.
Coptic binding is a beautiful exposed stitch that allows the book to be opened completely flat, making it perfect for writing.
The book is cut, folded, glued and sewn by hand.

SIZE:
The guest books are available in the following sizes:
A5 Landscape (15cm x 21cm / 6in x 8in)
Large Square (20cm x 20cm / 8in x 8in)
A4 Landscape (21cm x 30cm / 8in x 12in)
'A' sized guest books are made in a landscape orientation as standard. If you would like yours in a portrait orientation please let me know when placing the order.
PAGES:
48 Pages / 96 Sides of 140gsm all-media white cartridge paper (chlorine-free & acid-free / FSC certified).
The paper for A5 & Large Square is now made from recycled coffee cups.
COVER:
Hard cover, covered with a book cloth of your choice. Choose the book cloth colour from the swatch photo.
The word 'guests' in calligraphy script is hand foiled onto the cover in a foil colour of your choice.
Please note the book cloth types marked with * :
*Buckram - coarser cloth with a slightly water resistant finish.
**Rayon cloth with a slightly coarser more tactile surface.
All other colours are a very fine, smooth rayon cloth. This produces the best results with foiling.
STITCHING:
Beautiful exposed coptic stitching with waxed linen thread, in a colour of your choice.
Please state your colour at the checkout.
SPINE:
You can have a plain white spine (the exposed pages) or a coloured spine. For coloured spines I used strips of handmade paper to cover the spine of the sections. State your spine colour at the checkout.
INSIDE COVER:
Choose either a plain colour of lokta paper from the swatch photo (the same colour as the spine works well), or choose a decorative paper from the following link:
If choosing a decorative paper, please type the paper number in the notes box.
RIBBON:
Optional ribbon tie closure. If you would like a ribbon closure, please let me know in the personalisation box along with a colour choice and a preference between organza, satin, cotton and silk sari ribbon.
FOILING:
Personalisation available on the cover and/or first page. For the cover this can go directly underneath the 'guest' text, or at the bottom of the front or back cover.
Capital letters (plus numbers & punctuation including .,'?!#@&+-♥︎★) available in font Optima in two sizes (22pt & 14pt). Choose your foil colour from the swatch photo.
Each line is a maximum of 7.5cm wide. Please contact me if you are unsure how many lines of text you need.
Please write the exact wording and foil colour in the personalisation box. Different foil colours may be used for each line if desired.

PROCESSING TIME:
Bespoke guest books take 3-6 weeks to make. Please check the website status bar for current waiting times. If you need your book faster than this, you can pay a rush order fee to reduce your processing time. A rush order does not mean I will rush when making your item, it means you will jump the queue so your item will be made sooner.
The minimum rush order fee is 20% of the total cost of your item (a minimum of £5).
If you would like a rush order, please contact me with your deadline date before placing your order. Please note that at busy periods I may not be able to accommodate a rush order.
